Kapittel Pater

ABV:
6.00%
Packaging:
11.2 oz bottles-4pk, 30 Liter keg
Color:
Red-brown
Taste:
The aroma reminds one of sweet burning wood and gives us hints of sweet peaches, ending in a light hoppy bitterness.
Food Pairings:
This is a nice all day drinking beer that goes well with lunch and dinner. Typically you would drink it at lunch with sandwiches, cheeses and meats. Even a spicy salad would be a nice combination. Since the color of the beer is dark, you would normally combine it more with meat dishes instead of fish, but I wouldn’t exclude it. The beer has a soft, slightly sweet taste, which is attractive to set off spicy or outspoken biting tastes in the food.
Style:

This red-brown abbey ale can be considered a “single,” meaning a beer that was made for the guests of the abbey and for everyday consumption.  Of course, this is a top-fermenting ale, refermented in the bottle and thus kept alive, which means you can age the beer for a few years.  The head is strong and keeps well.
